...making plum crumble for Supper Club!

One of the best things about moving back to my home town is being able to hang out with my oldest friends. We have kiddos around the same age so we often spend afternoons catching up and watching our boys play together (yes-we all have boys-not a girl in sight!). What's really special about this time is that our mums used to do exactly the same thing together. We can all remember coming home from school when the 'Mother's Meeting' was being hosted at our house, to the sound of howling laughter. Our mums were the best of friends. So much has happened since then, that it seems like a hundred years ago. It's amazing that we grew up together and have remained so close after all these years, and now we are carrying on where our mums have left off.
To join up with our menfolk we decided to do a monthly 'Supper Club'. Here's how it works; whoever is hosting makes the main, and the other couples bring the pudding or the starter. We hosted last month and my husband made the most amazing pie. Yum.

This time we are on dessert duty. I decided to make plum crumble because it is easy and delicious. Simple as that! I followed a Hugh Fearnley Whatshisname recipe, and I'm hoping it tastes as good as it looks!

Now it is time to get ready and put the boy to bed at the grandparent's house. Happy times! Hope you have a lovely Friday night!
